Metropolitan Museum of Art Launches MetPublications
Launched in October 2012, The Metropolitan Museum of Art now offers full access to all museum-published books, journals, and bulletins since 1964 in a web feature called MetPublications. This feature gives the public complete access to museum scholarship including out-of-print books and journal articles with the intention of reintroducing researchers and enthusiasts to out-of-print scholarship and will eventually include all publications since the Museum’s founding in 1870. As the Museum continues to add objects to the online collection, these scholarly publications will augment the ‘virtual’ experience and provide further context for other online features.
